Bio

Dr. Tayfur Altiok is a Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Rutgers University. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Industrial Engineering at North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC in 1982. During 1992-1993, he was a visiting Professor at Laboratoire MASI, Universite de Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris, France. He received several grants from NSF, NATO, The United Nations and industry for research and teaching in design and modeling of manufacturing systems.

Research Interest

His research interests include performance analysis and design of computer information systems, production system, queueing systems, queueing networks, and simulation. He has published in numerous journals, coedited a book in simulation and has written a book on design of manufacturing systems.
