Dr. Kang Li is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Rutgers University and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of the Department of Orthopaedics at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He is also a graduate faculty member of the Departments of Biomedical Engineering and Computer Science at Rutgers University. He is currently the Director of the Human and Healthcare Engineering Lab.
Dr. Li's work spans various topics in the engineering healthcare field from biomechanics, ergonomics, orthopedics, rehabilitation, prosthetics, healthcare delivery science, to biomedical manufacturing. He is a finalist for the New Investigator Recognition Award (NIRA) by the Orthopaedic Research Society (2011), a co-recipient of the 2011 O'Donoghue Sports Injury Research Award and the 2014 Best Paper award in the 5th International Conference on Digital Human Modeling and Applications in Health, Safety, Ergonomics and Risk Management.
He has been funded by various funding agencies including NIH, NSF, Qatar National Research Foundation, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Charles and Johanna Busch Memorial Fund, and New Jersey Health Foundation, Rutgers Faculty Research Grant, and Research Council Grant programs.
